OUR SERVICES: WHAT TO EXPECT?
ACCOMMODATION
The accommodation we use during the pre/post camping days may vary from a four-star hotel to mountain lodge depending on the availability in the region. Most travelers arrive on long haul flights, so this helps you to get a good rest before starting the trek and provides the chance for the group to meet each other. On camping days, you'll camp in style & comfort with high quality tents and other equipments confirmed by UIAA.

All of our trips are given a grade to show their relative difficulty. Using our simple grading system as follows, you can easily choose the adventure trip perfect for you. There are often outside factors that will contribute to the difficulty of a particular trip; length of day, terrain, altitude and weather conditions and since these factors are changeable, any system of grades can only be provided as a general indication. Although we have tried to make our grading system as clear as possible, it cannot take into account personal interests, abilities or experience held by the client. Before booking any of our trips, it is advised that you read the trip details carefully to gain the fullest picture of what the itinerary entails. If you have any questions about the nature of a particular trip or its suitability for you, please contact Anatolian Adventures to assist you.
I- Easy:
Easy trekking by Anatolian standards is generally between 900 and 2000 meters (3000-6500 feet) with plenty of ups and downs. Travelers who lead a reasonably active life, need to be regular walkers to fully enjoy this experience in 3 or 5 days with only 2 to 5 hours walking per day.
II - Moderate:
This involves longer treks (5 to 10 days) on maintained trails with higher elevations between 900-3000 meters (3000 - 10000 feet). This type of trek includes day excursions to higher elevations, for which it's advisable to have some previous hill- walking experience. On these treks, we generally gain an altitude between 750 m to 1100m daily. (2500-3600 feet)
III- Moderate +:
Reasonably demanding trekking at altitude up-to 4200 meters with trips to higher elevations and could include treks away from villages on inhabited mountain trails. Trekking experience with basic navigational skills are needed.
IV- Strenuous:
Treks in demanding nature, require all participants to be fit and in excellent health, often in remote alpine areas and sometimes reaching altitudes up to 5500 meters (18000 feet) and high pass crossing over. These treks must be fully supported. We climb to altitudes between 3500-5700meters (12000-19000 feet) & there are overnight stays at altitudes above 4000m. For this trek, trekkers should have basic ice-axe and crampon experience with prepared physical condition to tackle difficult terrain in remote areas and mountains.
V-Alpine:
These are extremely demanding treks, sometimes in very remote areas on rough terrain, and could include climbs of one or more of the strenuous trek graded peaks and suitable for those in excellent health, capable of carrying a heavy backpack, when required. Participants should have good knowledge of the use of crampons and ice axe, though first time climbers may be accepted on some of the "easy" routes or just for some part of the treks and expeditions. Medical certificates are required for acceptance into these climbing treks since they may be in very remote areas, traveling over snow-covered passes at altitudes of up to 6500m (21500 feet)
