Turkey is a fully secular, modern and safe country, which is happy to provide hospitality to all visitors in a reflection of the Anatolian culture.

Unfortunately there may be some misuse of the goodwill and trust, like every developing adventure destination. The misleading advice relating to the agreements and travel arrangements made to some visitors should have no reflection on Anatolian Adventures.

To have 100% secure financial and organizational deals in Turkey, it is a requirement through law no 1618, for all visitors to arrange and book, for all travel & tourism related services, with a licensed travel agency and tour operator sanctioned by the Ministry of Tourism of Turkey.

Incoming & Outgoing tour operations are allowed only for A group travel agencies. You can check the list of the licensed A group travel agencies of Turkey from the links www.tursab.org.tr and www.tourism.gov.tr

As a case study, unfortunately a large percentage of the Mount Ararat Trek organizers have no legal title to do so. Any visitor to the region who engages with these illegal organizations has no right to ask for any refund or compensation in the case of a disagreement.

Additionaly, any good references and/or succesful trips through these organizations does not mean that other participants will not have a problem with the authorities in the case of denunciation and/or being caught by the armed forces in this second degree military area.

To check that you are already dealing with a fully licensed tour operator, please ask for the related license from the Ministry of Tourism as shown below:
