The minimal package for Independent travelers!
"Lite Package" is a basic package for an independent Mt. Ararat climber. Here below is the package itself and a number of services that may be ordered additionally. The package contains obligatory services - you must buy as a whole. Additional services are optional but should be ordered in advance when ordering your basic package. You can also ask the guide for services which are not included on the list and we will try to help.
Important notice: Lite Package program is designed for the traveler who seeks only basic services: licensed mountain guide (obligatory by Turkish Mountaineering Federation), climbing permits, special purpose visa support (excluding the visa fee), certainty that all paperwork is done correctly and in full, reliable contact in the region for support in case of problems and questions.
ITINERARY
Day 1: Transfer to Mount Ararat, 1st camp
Day 2: Acclimatization day
Day 3: 2nd camp
Day 4: Summit day
Day 5: Descend from the mountain, get back to Dogubeyazit

- Hotel in Dogubeyazit, Bed&Breakfast, shared 2 bed rooms.

ARARAT CLIMBING PERMIT & VISA
It is well known that the Ararat Mountain, which had been a favorite for climbers until 1980 was closed to the public during the Kurdish insurgence. It was reopened to visitors in 2001 when security in the area was reestablished. Nevertheless, to ensure continuance of security, visits to Mount Ararat are now under strict government control.
Individual climbers are subject to security investigations and only those who are approved are allowed to visit.
The permit procedures generally take up to two months for individual applicants, but if you join in our Ararat tours, we carry out the proper procedures on behalf of you which is the fastest and easiest way to obtain the necessary permissions.
