DETAILS
The Black Sea region with major cities Trabzon and Rize and the Kaçkar Mountains are still an insider tip and always good for a nice holiday surprise. The natural attractions of different holiday destinations can be found here harmonically combined. In the idyllic green landscape no one would expect to come across the azure sea in the next moment, with beaches, wood-lined bays and tea plantations on the hills. Every now and then one finds wild mountain streams, which eventually rush over the rocks into the sea.
Our Trans Kaçkar trek takes 7 days, and almost all of the trip is on foot. Being not only a trekkers' paradise, Kaçkars also offer beautiful alpine lakes. Our schedule will include sufficient time for acclimatization treks, for swimming and for meeting new cultures in local villages. Kaçkars offer easy-moderate hiking, so doesn't need much experience. The daily hiking takes a maximum of 6 Hours and lunch is served as lunch-box style picnic along the way. We have different options for all age range, families, youth groups and luxury accommodation in the region.
Starting from Erzurum city, we will drive towards the North to the Kackar Mountains. With 2 nights in a pension and 3 nights at the camps, we will trek from East to South and continue to the Northwest Kackar range. We will drive to Trabzon city on the last day for the end of services, or to continue with extension Turkey tours. For other trekking routes in Kaçkar Mountains, please contact us.
